Firmware Update, Windows Error: Nokia Service Layer Host Process Has Stopped Working.

I've just had the scare of my life... I was upgrading my phone to the latest version when I got a Windows Error: Nokia Service Layer Host Process Has Stopped Working.

Here is my solution:

If while updating your phones firmware you get the Windows Error: Nokia Service Layer Host Process Has Stopped Working. First of all DON'T PANIC and second, DO NOT UNPLUG YOUR PHONE! Unplugging your phone will cause irreversible damage and you will be left with a rather expensive brick!

Start of by Closing the Windows Error message then Press CTRL+TAB+ESC to bring up Task Manager. Click on the Nokia Software Updater and click End Task.
Close Task Manager and reopen the Nokia Software Updater and tell it to search for phones. It might take longer than normal but it will find your phone, at which point it should ask you if you want to repair it, click on Repair.
On the next screen it might tell you to remove the battery and charger cable and put them back in again but don't, just click for the next step.
You should now see the update progress screen but this time you will notice that the progress bar should start to move and finally complete the update.

Hope this helps!
