Hi, am having difficulty which chip controls the signal for 900MHz (O2, Voda) band on all nokia's. Seen several phone's that have full signal on Orange but not O2. I know there arer 2 seperate chips, one for each bandwitdth. Anyone point out which is which? Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,

the chip you are looking for is the antenna switch. It is one silver plated chip located near the PA. It switches the phones bandwith from 900Mhz to 1800MhZ.

Cheers for that mate, I thought it would be one of the two identical chips on the board, can't remember what they;re called (i'm fairly new to this game). I'll see if that helps at all, and again, thanx

Basicaly befor any attempt to Interfer internaly, the golden rull.
" RESETTING " the phone to factory settings, and recheck U'r
network configurations.
Even U can flash a new software repaire or compleet software
version , if all software attemptes failes Then go to Hardware.

Hey, I might be a noob, but I aint daft. Already reflashed the particular phone in question (6310i), with no avail, and and my supervisor has already confirmed it is hardware, but himself is unsure which particular chip has failed. Thanx anyway for the suggestion though.
