Headset icon appear on display / Headset not work solution here.. - GSM-Forum

These happen when the phone was water damage, and some problem appears like these:
One of my friend called this problem “Absent minded” when his phone drop and fill of water and after a several weeks not telling to me what will happen, he said “gnal ayih gnaman cell phone an ot absent minded”.

The phone displays Headset icon even though there is no headset attach to the system connectors. And only “loudspeaker working”.
The phone does not response, when you connect the headset. But the headset is good condition.

I prepared this solution to see and to pin point the components was damaged. And hoping it well helps to the beginners and junior members on this forum. “And very sorry to the administrator for my post. I was on quarantine cell two times happen to me for that thread “not charging displays @ LCD”. And now I’m free again…

dear capri amazing work .i have nokia 3100 on display right top corner of lcd an icon like handsfree or headset appears mic earpiece are ok but ringer is not working plz tell me the solution i am a beginnr thanks asalam o lakum

Many thanks for your thread. please i have a problem with 8800 rm13, headset icon appears on the screen all the time.

And i have boot problem with JAF and ufs to flash the 8800

Thanks ***, i have fixed the problem.

I cleaned up the whole main board and let it dry, after 5 minutes i put back the thing and YES its working. No headset icon any more

you are the one who gave me the Hint that phone was water damage.

I have a 8800 i am quite sure it has not been dropped in water it was working perfectly fine now the handsfree icon (the car icon) comes up even when it is not connected and no sound comes other then from the loudspeaker how would i go about fixing this??
