how to test power button using multimeter


hi, can someone explain how to test if a power button is ok or not using a multimeter ?

for two and four pin power buttons please..... thank you

for 2 pin simpley set multimeter to 200 omes(contunity) and cant. red prode 1st pin and black prode 2ed pin and press switch if bazer give sound or arrox 1 omto 10om switch is ok

for 4 pin same as 2 pin both side ( like 3310 switce up 2 pin is sort and dn 2 pin is sort in pcb)

put multimeter in buzzer mode and 2 probs on switch contact point and press switch on if buzzer buzzzzzzz mean switch is ok

look at ur multimeter. put ur pointer at x1. now use ur test points as said above. press power button,meter should give some reading if not then power switch is defective(open). better to take basic electronic class somewhere before entering in mobile world.

I can flash .... unlock ... change IC's like UEM, UPP, PA etc etc ..... do soldering repair or jumpers ..... i know about testing power buttons but i don't know the exact reading that should come up .....

as abhishek aga said .... 1 to 10 but when i set the multimeter at 200 (ohms) it says 0.04 so is this right ?

OFCOUSE SWITCH IS OK IF READEIND IS 0.001 TO 10 OM SWITCH IS OK
