Member: 1024 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5,510 | Hi, That's the trouble, if you have faulty Cobba or accidently damage it by reflow you can't do anything about this phone. The value from inside ROM is used for the phone security routines and changing the chip will
require recalculating the default IMEI values - something could be done only in Nokia R&D department . Some people say that Dejan can do this, but this is not confirmed yet by someone we can trust and the prices for log's are really high, not iconomical for repair ! The good old way is to change Cobba from different phone ( bad water fault or inside crack), but you have to transfer eeprom content from the dead phone to the repaired together with
Cobba. After that need to reset Full Factory in
WinTesla. If these two phones are different SW or PPM, need to update by Dejan 1.04. I don't know for 3210 - too much hassle. In our service center such phones go to the rubish bin Best Regards |

Member: 5764 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | I have reflowed COBBA from the opposite side of board. I was afraid to damage it by wrong reflow. Then I tested the phone, - nothing changed. I let it stay for a while, and then tried again, and it worked! Voice heard very clearly! Thanks all for help!!! By the way, how to reflow COBBA right? How much time should it stay under hot air gun? |

Member: 5246 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 9 | My friend, I guess that is a question of practice and experience. Let you gut feel dictate to you if enough reflow is enough. |
