put the multimeter in ohm range keep the positive pole in your motherboards ground,and check the imbidence of sim tray with the ground probe of multimeter one leg is ground and the just above one is no connection except these all other should show some slight reading if any one doesnt show slight reading it mean tht the connection is missing check the path with circuit and change a good sim ic if not ok change the retu as it controls the simconnections at last only afterchecking the track..all the best dont forget to replay the result

@Binoy.c
u have to knows that one of the sim connector dont show reading,there is 6 points in sim connector one is ground next one is open it will not show any reading on meter,next one is directly coming from power ic and other 3 are going through smd crystal ic from power ic, @ luyanda....first of all u need to b expirienced that wich point is directly goes to retu or wich are going through sim ic,then u will b able to fix this problem of that kind,.....u take a working mother board of nokia and remove its sim ic after thaT U take its reading ground is always shows reading full,but then u c that another poin will gives u some reading and only three points dont show any reading.....

retu provides power to all other ics if it is not there or if u replaced it with a bad one phone will dead ..If the phone is working before removing the retu and if it dead after fixing a new one it will be dead untill you fix a good one...and one more thing man If you want to be an expert hardware technician you have to show some courage be ready to take some risks...all the best You can take retu from the following very models.6085,3110c,6300,n70 72,etc.Ask the permission of customer before removing such ics ALL THE BEST.....
