Now a days all ICs are in the form of BGA(Ball Grid Array)
there are 3 types
1.DIP---dual in line package==which has both side legs...

2.QIP---Quad in line package===which has four side.

3.BGA
you will find it in diagrams,schematics,Pictures............

so work hard....Good Luck

start with dead hand set...Observe all board before start Repairing..its must,
Take your own time and try to identify , how handset becomes faulty..
And then Diagnostic.......Do it with Win Win Mentality..........ok

check all minor things that no need to mention here.......

like Battery voltage, battery connector..,batt.points on board. ok.

check either handset is Short==open===leakage

short==check continuity by analog meter..at positive and negative terminal of board(PCB)
if meter shows deflection on both side means its SHORT...
If its one side full and other side slight deflect means LEAKAGE...
if its not any side means OPEN....
AND
if its one side only then proceed NEXT STEP its common and Applicable for All mobiles

OPEN circuit means you will not get continuity at positive & negative terminal..
its open
means circuit not completing

Check voltage at on/off switch ---it should be @3.0~3.5v
if not then check track from power ic to on/off switch with the help of
diagrams,schematics,Pictures...

ok next

Every hand set has FLASH Voltage which comes by pressing ON/OFF switch...
It should be more than 2.5v so now you have to find the exact point where it comes........
so its also possible by diagrams,schematics,Pictures...
check attachment for how to check flash voltage????????

wbr...

pcb has it own resistens. but when meter not deflect . it mean there is +v or -v. path is open from battery connector.

for easy like open fuse or open resister not shawn any deflaction.

i use digital multi meter to check pcb resistence.

put meter at diod check RANGE and RED PROB AT NEGATIVE BATTERY CONTEC AND BLACK PROBE AT +V. BATTERY CONTECT OF PCB .

FOR EXAMPLE. OK 3310 PHONE SHAW ABT 350 READING. IF IT WTER LOGED THEN IT MAY 250 TO 300. IF IT SHAW 00 OR BUZZ CONTINUEITY SOUND,IT MEAN SHORT CIRCUIT. AND NOT SHAW ANYTHING MEAN OPEN

YOU CAN CHECK ALL PHONE PCB BY THIS WAY . MAKE READING OF OK PHONE AND COMPAIR IT WITH FAULTY PHONE.

WBR
