Nokia 1209 Strange Keypad Problem... - GSM-Forum

Dear Members,

Can you give me some idea about the misbehavior of Nokia 1209 keypad e.g. whenever I press any key from 1 to 8 , only "Emergency Call is being shown on the LCD..". But "9,*,0 & #" not working at all. I did the following things :

1. Flashed it at least 3 times both with MX-KEY & UFS-HWK after erasing the old software. But no result.

2. Changed the KEYPAD IC. But no result.

3. Fully cleaned the PCB with best quality THINNER. But no result.

4. Rehot UEM, UPP & COMBO MEMORY i.e. FLASH CHIP. But no result.

Is this the UEM or UPP fault?

Hope to get the best possible answer.

well did u try only one sim ic????

try a 2nd one maybe the ic is foked and try re-hot the upp cuz it controls the key pad also ..i know u re-hot it before but give it an other try

Is this Keypad IC or CHARGING SOCKET Problem ?

bro first check another keypad ic if same than make jumpers of keypad ic i tested in 1110 and works 100000%
