nokia 1600 urgent - GSM-Forum

got this nokia 1600 from a friend he say that he just wake up and see on the phone insert sim ,,he took out the sim and replace it but its jus the same ,,try different sim in it same thing ,, what might cause this ,,no water or anything like that got into it so i dont know ,,anyway he said someone told him that the circuit board is dead ,,could that be so ???? it still shows demo of evrything on the phone just not reading no sim ,,whats the fix if any????

it is sim ic falt just change it all will b ok

its sim ic fault , just replace it

problem solve

if you have no sim ic then you can jumping to the sim ic

use search button for the jumping

most of the time charing and handsfree area is water damaged clean it wit ctc . then change or shortn the sim ic.

Some times maybe it is battry problem.
If the battry fitting is not properly then result is this...........................................

Change sim ic near sim tray of the mother board.

First of all
1. check that the middle battery point connects to the middle terminal.
2. Sim card connector points.
3. Resold Simcard ic near simcard connector. ( upper crystal)
4. Change Simcard ic. or make jumpers. click the link

One 1600 INSERT SIM CARD PROBLEM.
L2001 AND C2013 WERE OXYDISED.
CLEANED WITH IPA.
C2013 FOUND TOTALLY DAMAGED.
REMOVED IT.
CHARGER CONNECTOR REPLACED.
STILL THERE IS THE PROBLEM.

ANYBODY HAS ANY SOLUTION?? PLZ HELP

IS THERE ANY POSSIBILITY OF THE PROBLEM DUE TO C2013??

first checkout when power on the handset how insert sim show (instantly or after 2or 3 seconds)
if instantly then its from sim ic,simjack,simtrack and
if shows after 2,3 seconds then check the battery connector's middle pin(it bend or not or not touching the battery),missing supply of middle pin and
atlast check the battery.
i m 1000% sure about this fault.
