Respected members,
nokia 3230 bord short, what i do. Please help me.

1.clean very well,,
2.reheat a bit,,
3.remove p.a.,,
if still shorted,,,then try other parts,,

don't remove the PA just remove the power supply coil & check the short

looking for shorted component on board is only by chance,,your chances are good if you examine the board carefully,,for the board which become shorted thru normal use(that means not misused,,water,dropped or anything)most common is p.a.,,power ic and charging ic,,
for water damaged boards,,most common are ic's that give high voltage output,,smps,,back ligth ic, and ofcourse power ic,,and charging ic,,,and the ones that has corrotions,,,so visual checking is needed,,,
COILS are always shorted,,if it is open it is not working so it is badddddd,,

i ment remove the coil that supply the pa with voltage to avoid distroying the pa with heat if its not shorted then he can check the short at battery pins if the short is gone then he will be sure that the pa is shorted & if the short at battery pins still this mean its not the PA ok Mr bearhug
