repairing/replacing bad flash i.c. of dct4 units

guys.. im not sure with this but... with our experience, each time we replace a flash ic of 7210, 3530, 3650 or other dct4 units... it also affects the imei of the unit...the imei goes ??????????????.. tried rebuilding imei without replacing uem but always display an error, so do we really have to replace the uem after replacing flash ic? or is there a much easier solution?

please guys i really need your expert opinions here!!!

tnx!!!!

You don't need to replace UEM after flash changing !

Just change flash, write firmware, write correct .RPL file, recalibrate RF and do energy management calibration...

what you need after you re place the ic flash is to corect the flash data by using uem tools and not sign the uem replace option
cuz this tool can re write the data from uem to ic flash correctly using original imie

@ryumahon
In DCT4 IMEI are stored in UEM & Flash IC, if you change the Flash IC then flash, result IMEI is ??????????????? 'coz UEM IMEI is not the same with your flash IC, so if you replaced Flash IC then you should replaced UEM also. Note UEM is OTP and Flash IC is rewritable. (somebody correct me if I'm wrong)

Have a nice day
