Exclamation Nokia 3510, 3510i, 6310i disable WatchDog - How To!

I have a 3510 with changed Flash IC. The phone was dead because of bad soldering memory IC. After I changed the IC, flash it, etc. the phone is working but with bad IMEI and ofcourse the phone is turning of after 30 seconds. My question is if anybody knows how to disable the watchdog or trick it (my plan is to serv the watchdog from another working phone to trick the bad phone, I don't know if possible). I need to read the UEM to make rpl file.

If someone is interested about this please write here!

hello,
watchdog this is the protection area in uem.If uem is defective so phone will power off in 30 sec. by itself.If you change the flash IC you must re-write the flash.Otherwise the phone will power off in 30sec.

Best Regards

Ok!

You are right but, the watchdog must be connected to ground in DCT3 phones, but in DCT4 you must provide a special signal to processor.....
Hmmmm! big problem because is a signal generated (quartz) and how to trick this system? The problem is that in nokia schematics the "watchdog" is called something else.... What is the name and where is the test point???

why do you look for watchdog? the problem in your phone is that you have empty flash.After flash IC change you must rebuild imei and re-write the flash ic with the same imei,inside uem and your phone will working.I will look for disable watchdog in dct-4 phones.

Ok! but how?

The problem is that i have changed the flash IC, and i have made full flash, the phone is working but the IMEI is corrupt. IMEI: ?????????????? The phone stay powered for about 30 sec, and power off.

My question is how to rebuild IMEI if I cannot read PM???????????
I use tornado flasher because i don't have griffin and as I know there is no function in DCT-4 phones to rebuild IMEI. The single way is to read PM and to make .rpl file the upload to phone.

The hole big ideea is to cut off the watchdog, and to hope that then I can read the PM because after 30 sec is powering off, so.... I cannot read full PM.

Any ideea?

dear

All watch dog signals are generated and processed inside the UEM. so if any of them is corrupted the solution is to change the uem

@DJ_Andy

are you trying to say that you need to read pm and convert it to rpl so you can upload it to your fon? if thats the case, you can read section 208 of the pm using your tornado so your fon wont turn off, but since you've said that you have changed the flash ic, i doubt that you can read the backup flash imei data cause its stored in the old flash ic that you've been replaced.

@DJ_Andy

hi, you can try to search in sales section who can calculate flash imei data. you can try griffin server but since you use tornado, better ask lejia for ufs ask-rpl calculation. hope that helps.
