nokia 5800xm screen problem - GSM-Forum

Hi, I have nokia 5800 that has a screen problem, screen comes up with all mixed colours, I thought the screen was faulty so I bought another screen after fitting it still the same problem

, when I turn the phone and after the white screen the colour goes funny and it is so bad that after the hand shake I can’t see anything through the mixture of blue, green and yellow, I have flashed the phone with latest firmware and still no joy, any ideas please?

ur previos lcd and u bought lcd version r same
put different version
look behind of lcd steel cover version appear

Thank you for your response no i have not checked, I thought all the LCDs are the same I mean for this model, I bought it of ebay and the advert same this LCD can be used for nokia 5800 and N97, I will check and get back.

I don't think the LCD is the problem because I have checked it with Nokia N97 Mini and it worked just fine, this is the problem in pictures;

As you can see in picture 1 the phones starts as normal with sound but the colour is not as it should be, the same goes for picture 2 but in picture 3 it actualy goes mad when the phone becomes unusable.

Brother you must change the LCD IC`s, its ic problem.....

Thank you for you response, I don't know which is the LCD IC on the board, is there any instructions?
