nokia 6030 startup problem - GSM-Forum

broo i have an nokia 6030 which have a very strange problem.
The problem is that when i power on the mobile without sim it works ok But when i put sim into it the set got reboot for nokia.
I have don the full flash with latest MCU,PPM and pm files and also changed the sim IC but the result is still there.

" bro try like this once again, firstly erase flash & then reflash, if u couldnt get positive response then rehot uem, if not solved by rehotting then reball & refix uem, thanx"

I too exactly have the same problem. Can somebody tell in detail about flashing, rehot etc.,? Or is there some thread which tells in steps how to solve the problem.
How much will it cost in case i take it to a nokia service person? My phone is not covered under warranty!

" bro since u r not related to this profession so itz compulsary for u to put it to any professional & price for repairing it varies depending upon the rate(work) of the professional,thanx"

Thanks for the info. I dont worry about money but I was worried whether that was possible

Is flashing and rehot cpu clear all my calendar entries, messages, stored contacts? Is there possibility to repair my cell without doing any damage to it.

Thanks friends. I gave the phone to my nokia care centre and he said that he's going to reinstall the software in my phone

Will reinstalling clear my phone contacts, calendar entries and stored applications?????
