Nokia 6085 - Cant detect Sim Card

Hi Guys, Got a Nokia 6085 in perfect condition except it does not detect ANY SIM Card inserted into it. It will allow you to start phone without sim card & from that selection onwards work perfectly in "No Sim Card" mode.

The Sim Card contacts are ok as is their solderconnection to the circuit board.

Just wondering if anyone had come across this fault yet, is it a know problem, is the cause Hardware or software?

Any assistance appreciated.

Hi

I have become pretty cabable at unlocking phones (finding testpoints etc).

However I have the exact same problem - But my hardware skills are not the greatest - Where is the best place to learn how to change the required parts?

Anyone have the a picture of the SIM ic?

Please help
