Nokia 6100 and DKU-5 cable - GSM-Forum

Hi.. Im having a problem..

First off all i have forgot my security code for my phone, which i have changed from the standard 12345 to ????? something i can not remember...

I decided to get an cable for my phone to check out the feautures of the cd i got with my phone.. and allso to check out the possibilety to change/review my security code..

This far, this good...
But i am having trouble installing the driver for the cable, im using Win98SE.. tried it several times, but no succes. What Could be the reason?

Back to my Security code... How do i change this, how do i find out what it is set to be, and if i should use a cable with software can i use the one that i have bought, DKU-5??? (USB)

I would be happy if someone out there could give me some help..
It really ***** when things go wrong... Guess U allready know that.

Hi,

With the 6100 you can not read the original code. You have to use a program that resets the code to the standard, however then you will lose also all your other settings and info in the phone. You have to look for a program that can reset the DCT4 security code. Some flash program SW can do the trick, but I have no idea what program you can use with the DKU-5.

no possible with dku-5 and if you already tried many times wrong code before you can change even to 12345 you must flash it!
