Nokia 6111 opening instructions here - GSM-Forum

i get one 6111 to replace LCD and also ribbon.

it was a little braintease to start, so i search the forums and see no one knows on this problem.

so, here is the photos i made when dissassemble the 6111. hope to help you guys

step 1
open the phone slide. on back part, you find two screws. remove them:

step 2
now you can take an opening tool (use plastic open tool), to remove the front housing.
do not worry, you have removed the only two screws holding it in place, but be careful with your force...

step 3
ok, you got the LCD exposed. now use an metal edge to "pop" the LCD board from the housing:

step 4
flip the board over (or unclip the ribbon if you prefer), and you now expose a further two screws. they are marked in red, so remove them:

step 5
now turn the phone over, so it is facing you. see the silver rim around the keys? well this comes out

use an edge to remove it and expose the remaining four screws:

the rest is history

Nice work indeed,

i had one 6111 for about three weeks, and i have to set the flex cable, the owner was long gone, so today when i show the ad on the GSM News i was very happy to see the solution

for other phones, they are either very straight forward for opening or you find official video or document for instruction.

i only make this as there was no help
