I have updated the software on this phone to latest, checked battery, no phisycle damage, what can be the problem?

I have a issue ,6300 imei not showing *#06# = i want to input a new imei and it must work with the code (*#06#) to check imei , please can you give some guide line how can i overcome this issue...
also the other problem is if i dont use it for few minutes phone is auto off.
Battery is Fine, what can be the possible reason and how it can be resolved.
pls explain...
