Nokia 6310i no LCD - GSM-Forum

hey there, i have a nokia 6310i with a problem, the problem being that the lcd has stopped showing information. the phone had recently been water damaged (tea spilt on front) but was dried out, you can make and receive calls but you cant see anything. i'm no expert on phones i can reload software and change lcds, leds but thats it i dont know much about the complex workings so could the water have done something to the Elastomer??. battery standby is normal and the el backlight works but no display so what i really would like to know is could it be the elastomer or the screen which i could fix and its cheaper than getting the carphoneware house to fix it at £70!!! or is the phone beyond repair

any help would be appreciated.

my mistake, just so you know I can read and have been reading since the age of 4 which means i've been reading for 21 whole years, yes 21!!!! Winner58 thinks he's a funny guy!! Anyone laughing??

your phope just try to change elastomer or change LCD, should works
