Nokia 6310i strange screen problem - GSM-Forum

Hello,

a customer gave a 6310i to me, which has a very strange display problem:

As soon as you switch it on it displays "Insert SIM". After 3-4 seconds the screen begins to flicker and shows horizontal lines flickering very fast. As soon as you press a button, the screen appears again.

Also, if you hold a button (eg. the red button), the screen remains correct ("Insert SIM") but about every second periodically 1 horizontal line blinks on the screen. As soon as you release the button again - immediately the flickering of those many horizontal lines begins again.

I updated the firmware, I changed the display and measured display ways - Everything fine - except under the UPP i cant measure.

Please help.

Replace capacitor C302,C303 and C304.

thanks for your help!

Question: I removed C303, C304 because i wanted to replace them. Then i noticed that I dont have any PCB with these capacitors so i couldnt solder new ones in. Now i tested the device and it seems to be working well (the display fault is gone) without those two capacitors installed. Is there any possibility that i could damage the phone when i use it without C303 / 4 ?

bro i also have same problem and i also change capacitor C302,C303 and C304 but problem not solved
