Nokia 8890 Dead. Please Help!!!!!!!


Hi, i have an 8890 that has been water damaged. there is no rust on the pcb though as was small amount of liquid. it is now dead. i have cleaned it using toothbrush and isoclene and now the pcb is looking new. i try to read by rolis and it says phone ram bad and check mobile choice, what can i do or check?? i have basic soldering experenice and have a multi meter for checking circuits. please get back soon people.

RAM bad, might becasue CCONT not support to RAM ,check at C131 and V116 VSRM ! or inside MAD is rusty !

try to check first 32.768 work or not, and then check 26Mhz to hager, and from hager to MAD !

dont know how to check that mate? im a newbie. i got a mulit meter for testing circuits and stuff. i dont have a pic of pcb with descriptions of individual components either.

is it your multi meter can check 26Mhz /13 Mhz TCXO ?

you can try this , put 10Kohm resistor to BSI to GND, and give B+ to GND have 4V , then you can make it work without casing !
