nokia 6102 keypad backlights won't turn off - GSM-Forum

Anyone have any idea how difficult it would be to fix this problem of the keypad backlights not turning off? It drains the battery a little bit too much.

The phone works great otherwise...and it knows when the phone is opened or closed but for some reason these lights never turn off. Even if the phone is off...as soon as the battery is connected they are on.

I just found the schematic and am taking a look at it. I'm guessing it would be cheaper/easier to just try to get one being sold for parts off ebay and this probably isn't that simple of a fix.

Could the problem be in the flex cable or v2401 or v2408?
