If changing a working camera module still don't work than reheat or change the display IC, the black rectangular shape IC

What do you mean by "reheat"? And when you say the display IC, do you mean the BCM2727? Where about can we get one of those?

kelvinlim 11-01-2011 15:43

Reheat means reflow the ic with hot air in case the component is not faulty but is due to poor contact to pcb or cold solder. I not sure if this component is compatible with the c7 or e7 since both look the same. If you wan to have a try than pm me your mailing address and I mail it to you but the display ic is for c7. Looking from the schematic thinks both should be the same.

Hey dude.. could you give us a picture ? I changed the camera and It didn't work out :(

My Camera is working again, but I have no idea how.

As I received all the parts, I prepared to fix the camera. First I updated to Anna.
Then I proceed to find out which part of the circuit was causing the issue.
First I wanted to know if the front camera still works, it worked.
Then I tried the video recording to see if the sound still records, and it did.
After all those steps, all the sudden the camera was up and running again.
It has been working for two days now. Feel free to give it a try,
but I can't guarantee the same result though. Good luck.

It's good to know that it works, and purple screen is better than no screen.
The next question would be, does it produce pictures with purple tint?

Unfortunately it doesn't take pictures, when I try to take pictures it just freeze and I have to close the camera aplicatioon...

:(

I've heard there's some component on the main board to replace and it fix the problem but I didn't find anyone to give this information to me...

Do you know something about it?
