Nokia N82 Memory Card Problem - GSM-Forum

Hi Members,

I've a strange problem with an N82.

When a memory card is inserted in the phone, it gets detected and files are accessed properly but only for a few minutes, then the phone is unable to detect the card.

Even if I try putting the card in and out several times, the card won't get detected.

After leaving the phone switched off for a few hours, the card would get detected by itself, work normally for a few minutes and then again won't get detected.

I've replaced the IC, but the problem still remains.
I've tried switching phone on and off with MMC but still no help.

I would appreciate if someone can suggest what could be the problem. The phone is running the latest firmware.

Hey,
Thanks for the reply there.

I've already replaced that IC however the problem is still there.

I'm not sure what to do with those small resistors over there, but my understanding is the IC should have solved the problem but it didn't.

What else could be the reason for this strange behavior.

Pls I need to know any equivalent Nokia phone mmc ic that can work with N82 because my mmc glass ic has broken or if any jumper method. .thanks

Mandyleo, check mmc ic of N95, it is same with N82 or any other E-series or N-series that use microSD

Nokia N82 mmc ic is very common in market.
u can get this ic in 6300 keypad is same
in n82 mmc ic Enjoy .

you just can found it on n95 only , no in any E or N series and also not in any phone that use micro sd card . there is a big difrent between them, just look at ic datasheet then you;ll understad.

sorry bro, this is not currect.
these are same in package only. you are absolutly cant use 6300 keypad ic instead of n82 mmc ic and if anyone use this method it can hurt the menelaus ic(N4200).
and at last you can find this ic on N95 only and no any other nokia yet.
