Noob needs help with 8800 disassembly question - GSM-Forum

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I was wondering if someone could help me. I need to change the LCD on an 8800 but I have a question. In the service manual and video it says that the black shiny chrome piece attached to the camera can't be reused once its taken off. What am I supposed to do then? Nobody sells that piece.

Is this true or do you just have to be extra careful not to bend it when taking it off. Thanks a lot, D

Just bend it a bit, unscrew the phone. Once finish your work it will glue again without any shows there.

Ok, so don't take it all the way off then? Just bend it a little to expose the other torx screws right? I'm kinda nervous about it.
