Member: 14004 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 6 | I have done lots of experiments with ultrasonic cleaning machine, and i found out that the best results are using iso-propanol. Plain alcohol is good, but be sure to use 96% or 98% solution. Medical alcohol contains too much water! If water is used, it must be destilled. |

Member: 3355 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | I tried pure as well as 90% alcohol, I also tried Methylated Spirits, and 50/50 Distilled Water/Thinners Solution. All these were listed in the manual that came with mines.... but for some strange reason, whenever I use any of the above, All the parts on the phone that need cleaning, turn into white gooey reserdue! Any help? btw Willy, as J3310 asks: What is HCFC? |

Member: 23790 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | i agree that here in uk it will be expensive to wash it with any sort of alcohol...i used water with some soap in it....but im sure this wasnt the problem with the phones...some people may know itand im sure it wasnt the best idea...i cleaned all my phones just to be sure...and some of them worked afterwoods...some never since...but they were dead anyway...i dont know anyone who actually got his phone fixed by doing this...how important is it? or in which cases u have to use this machine to fix your phone? |
