PPM Checksum test fail - GSM-Forum

I have 8210 with "PPM Checksum test fail, Repair the Phone first". What can be the hardware problem. The phone sometimes shows plain screen and sometimes Insert Card and "Contact Service" Tested the phone by eeprom tool by Bphreaks.

Hi.
First of all you need to reflash with working flash mcu+ppm. Address 2000-3d00. Then use eeprom tool by Bphreaks for faid and unlocking.

If doesn't work then you need to change combo=flash+ram with working one. Then 100% ok.

If say HW problem :

flash rom no good, or MAD rusty !

CANT BE A HARDWARE FAULT IF IT SAYS:'CHECKSUM' TEST FAILED.

Thanks guys,

It was the CCONT. When i replaced, it got signals for few seconds and never came back again. Will check it tomorrow again.
