Removing cobba....ccont?

Hi,

I was just wondering?

If I remove the cobba or ccont.... must I reball it before replacing it? or must I reball it only if some balls are damaged?

I was just wondering because I dont have the reballing tools and I dont want to make any mistakes with this IC's.

Thanks!

Regards

Re: Removing cobba....ccont?

AFR,

when you will remove non-glue BGA chips
if you put enough flux, and use "right" air and temp.
then all bga tin balls will stay in that PCB!

in some case, that two ball join together, you just need to put 0.5mm tin ball for it !

Watch Man,
I used Hakko 850,
air on 3,
heater on 3.5
it around 280 C!

you have to try on your hot air, aas long as that flux not "smoke"!
