Serious problem with 5800 - GSM-Forum

Hi

It is my personal phone

Just few dqays after buying, I didnt have the Usb cable, And I wanted to upgrade via Nokia Update service.
So I had saved somewhere a Mini Usb to microusb adapter, I thought it would work and just connected the phone with it to the computer, the phone has been burn

, t wont power on and f you try to power it on it heats as hell.

I disassembled the adapter and noticed that the 5 pins at the mini usb are connected to the 5 pins at micro USB, the adapter PCB reads MOTO, so, I searched and noticed that CA101 Usb cable only uses 4 pins, 1,2,3 and 5, pin 4 is not used.
SO, looks lke I connected GND to pin 4 at the phone , closing the 5V circuit via this pin, I dont know if this problem can be solved,.

think NO, if so, someone has an idea where I can get a PCB ?

any suggestion ?
