I cannot tell you how to fix it,but i can tell you how you can try to!
If it's a lot of oxidation on it put the mainboard in a recipient full of alcohol 90%,Leave it there for a day and after that try to power on again!
Sometimes it works!

Regards

Try using an ultrasonic cleaner, that get rids of corrosion. Also Trichloroethene is an excellent cleaner commonly known as car brake cleaner.

I have an 8250 fell in water, then I immerse it in Ultrasonic solution for 1 hour then let it dry thoroughly.. then next day i power it on, it's working but easily drain battery and the unit is hot, so I suspect Power AMp IC has defect, so I replace it but still not functioning properly and no signal... i tried to Flash new MCU+PPM but gave me "FLASH ID UNKNOWN : 2656F209 ERROR:
WHAT IS WRONG??? Thnaks to those who can help....

Before flashing try to heat cobba but just 10-15 sec (max. 20 sec.), maybe it will help you (i try it and few times it works for me). Be carefull not to kill cobba. I heat it first few seconds from up side, then from downside (keyboard side).
If that don't help try the same with flash chip.
If that don't help then maybe you will must to desolder cobba, make new balls and solder it again. But then there is always chance to kill cobba.

Regards,

Nicos

Trichloroethane is found in car brake cleaner. Go to your local petrol station and buy a spray can, just be careful, its poisonous. It clears out corrosion pretty well.

If its getting hot, you probably have a short somewhere, that would also explain the quick drain on your battery. Check the current drain using a multimeter.
