Member: 42160 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Drop it in alcohol Isopropanol and leave it there for 24 hours... Clean afterwards with antistatic brush & alcohol. Let it dry some hours....and test your phone! You could of cours also use Ultrasonic & alcohol if you have it! Regards |

Member: 33547 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 17 | Alcohol makes oxidations harder to remove i think. I tryed on many phones and after that nothing could be removed even with an ultrasonic. Use ultrasonic machine with 50% water 50% thinners (the ones used for paints) if you don't have special cleaning solution. Then check your hardware for destroyed pcb traces, reflash the phone. Maybe you need to reflow/reball some chips |

Member: 51014 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Iso propanol 99% is the best for water damaged phones. U can leave it in the alc. for 3-4 days, bruch it a little with an toothbrush. And put some isopropanol under the uBGA's with a syringe. Sometimes U need to reflash the phone and sometimes U need to reflow / reball some uBGA's. |

It depends on 3 things: what substance it was in... battery charge level.. and the last (the most one) ... how long the phone was in substance... All the rest is depended on board components....
