I am going to start doing cell phone unlocking for my friend computer shop. But I need to know what is the best tools I should order for starting. Are unlocking box the best thing? I suppose yes. Would I need anything els then that unlocking box, the cables and my laptop with windows xp/7 ?

I live in Canada, more precisely in the province of Quebec. It would be great if I can see some stats about mobile device market share here where I live, but from a source that I saw, I think Iphones, Samsung, LG and Blackberry are the most sold in Canada. What do you think would be a great unlocking tool that cover all those brand the best.

The more reliable tools to begin are z3x and setool/lgtool, and nck dongle. With these three tools and all activations related, you'll probably make more than 90% of work.

About iphone, there ain't no box to unlock. You must pay web service so they include imei of the phone into apple database. Prices can be very high depending on carrier/provider.
