Post Help from UK resident for new Mobile Phone book?

Hi,

We are currently in the process of putting the final touches to our new book - The essentail mobile phone handbook ( details of old edition http://www.phonevolts.com/product_in...roducts_id=107)

However, we are missing some info, we need some help.

We need to know the prefix for all UK mobile phone networks.

For instance in Ireland the prefix for vodafone is 087, or o2 is 086.

Can any one help with the UK ones?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply, that site is interesting.

I dont really need to know then origin of the root number, i need to find out for instance,

if i go into a vodafone shop in the uk to buy a vodafone sim card, what will me number start with, like wise for the other networks?

For example in Ireland.

083 = Three
085 = Meteor
086 = o2
087 = Vodafone
089 = TescoMobile

Thanks.
Alan.

Ok I'm with you now,

I have the following PAYG Sims & put first 5 digits as some are same?

VODAFONE: 07919 & 07733

ORANGE: 07870

TMOBILE: 07960 & 07961

O2: 07858

3G: 07878

If other members have UK PAYG Sims would help Alan.

ie:Lebara , Fresh, Tesco, Talk Mobile or any other.
