i think you have misunderstood how it works or what it is, from what i can see its a tracking service for vehicles, you install a kit in the vehicle which has GPS and a sim card, you can then log into your account and locate the vehicles connected to the account by phone number or imei.

there isnt a service that you can simply use an imei to locate a random device, im sure such a thing is not impossible but it would definitely be the sort of thing only available to governments and law enforcement as it would pose a massive security risk.

id even question if that is possible in reality, youd need a database of all imeis and have it constantly updated with the details of the device its connected to, then there would have to be an app on the device which has permission to access the gps in the device and record the location of EVERY one of the billions of devices out there

i think youve been given some bad information somewhere

without gps it would be impossible to locate a device with any more accuracy than determining which cell tower it was connected to unless you somehow have access to the wifi connection status and cross referenced it with something like wigle but again this would require some sort of trojan on the device and still would require an element of luck (and if you had a trojan on the device already youd just use the gps data)

there isnt some sort of mystical database with the details of the precise location of every device with an imei which somehow works without any connection to the device

location data is not something that is reported without the user giving permission for it, being able to locate any device at any time without the end users permission would be a pretty massive security risk, like hard drives used phones would have to be shredded rather than resold or youd be risking the previous owner being able to track your every move

ask yourself where is the data coming from? if its not from gps how do you determine the precise location of a device? there are no other possibilities unless you have access to the users google/apple/whatever id and have allowed location sharing, still gps based

if such a thing existed you certainly wouldnt be struggling to find information on it as itd be front page news the world over

even the networks would probably have to go to someone else, they can only provide you with cell tower information unless you have their app on your phone and have allowed it permission for location access

the most likely source were you to be trying to get this info would be google or apple as users usually have an account with the OS manufacturer to use the device and location data permissions are usually given to that, next its likely OEM companion accounts like samsung or sony etc, but even they cant share that legally without your permission or a legal warrant

bottom line, no permissions or trojan, no location info

please, don't mess this thread, if you don't know, just ignore

I already have access to database on any network in my country, can track any imei or mobile number, it's called detailization, wich shows any requested imei or mobile number in wich area 100 square metres, every hour it was connected to cell tower in the city.

network provider does not do pelengation, its only government, who allows to use devices to track exact location via pelengation, shows house number, flat, exact location of device, even which devices is next to it.
