it depends on the version, i use p2k easy tool v 3.9 and i have unlocked many,but i had to ground the testpoint( you dont cut motorola testpoint , you ground it, or else you kill the phone

try this may help. i have not tryed this method but i have been told this method works to ground test point on l6.
