How to upgrade firmware on Motorola V60 TDMA?

Hi, I am a newbie so I don't know much, but I've done lots of searching.

I was just wondering, how can I upgrade the firmware on a Motorola V60 TDMA phone? Right now it has very old firmware, 15.06.00. I know there is v16.09 out there, maybe even newer? Info on TDMA phones is much harder to find than GSM.

Anyway, I have downloaded Motorola PST v6.7, the patches, and have it installed and running. I am waiting for a USB cable I bought on Ebay. Now what I don't know, is where to find newer firmware and how to install it without killing the phone.

Also, I have one phone V60i TDMA with v24.32.00_PHOENIX firmware, hardware v8.4. This phone has many more features. Can I use its firmware in a V60 with hardware v8.0?

Also, what is a flex? The phones show a Flex version, but I don't know what that means. Can I upgrade firmware without upgrading flex, or do I need to upgrade both?

Any help would be appreciated, I am not interested in unlocking or doing this for a business, I just have a phone I want upgraded, so free solutions would be appreciated. Thanks.
