If you are sure that the SIM card and network you are using are definitely compatible with your phone, but are still receiving the message, you may need to flash your phone - the phones firmware may be incompatible with the network you are trying to use the phone on. You can find flash files specific to your phone by searching on Google, or try http://www.themotoguide.com/flashingflexing.php. Hope you get it working! Member: 4236 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Hello. I'm speaking in name of et.com, that posted this problem about a Motorola L7, witch is mine. et.com is a great friend of mine and he is trying to solve this problem with me. Like he said, and I'll repeat, the phone works with all network SIMs except the ones from Vodafone (PT). The strange thing is that Vodafone (PT) was the original network of the phone (it was bought in a Vodafone promotion...) and after unlocking it with P2K Tool 3.7 (cracked) all SIM Cards from the other network worked just fine. I've tried about 4 or 5 cards from Vodafone (PT) and one from Itineris (disabled card), and all these made the phone display the following message: "Insert Simcard". My friend et.com already tried to unlock the phone with Smart Clip, and also flashed the damn one... an still no Vodafone (PT) SIM worked. Please, if anyone has one idea about this situation, share it with us. Best regards prom PorTugal. samalex. |

Member: 4236 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Hello. Since I don't have a smart Moto clip, i've taken the mobile to friends of mine that do have. So everyone of them has tried to flash the phone with different versions of flashs (including a Vodafone Flash for this phone) but sthill no solution for the phone. Always appears the "Insert Sim" message with any SIM Card. Just for the record, I've managed to turn on the phone normally a couple of times with a TMN Portugal SIM Card that has a security PIN active. All the other cards, sthill no success. Best Regards. |

Member: 4236 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Hello friends. My problem was solved by a Gsm Repairer witch by the way is a neighbour of mine. The problem of the phone was simply the SimCard Controler IC that was malfuntioning, and so not all the SimCards were recognized by the phone. I don't have any more details about this, but what is certain is that the phone is now working 100%. Thankx to you all. Best Regards from Portugal |
