wrong.
R26 can be a 32MB, too.

If you have old V980m, the procedure with smartclip is following:
1. remove rsa
2. fulflash with r24
3. repair PDS
4. fullflash R24 again and then desired language. Phone must live.

If You have new V980m, then :
1. Remove RSA with v975 selected
2. Flash with any V975 firmware (i'm using R245)
3. Repair PDS
4. Flash with v975 again and desired language. Phone must live.

Procedure is tested on many many phones.

Good luck !

You dont need repair pds option to downgroade firmware in 3G motorola phones.
Enough is to flash 631 bootloader, flash desired firmware, and simply remove RSA with smart clip, repair 0x1DE with MSS4 or unlock with Ultima Box.
If phone has tyax chipset, You will know, because PST or RSD will report it.
