    t191 with LOW contrast ... how to repair ?


    i received brand new
    t191 v1.24 with very low contrast

    setting E2P default didnt help
    flashing to v1.71 also didnt help

    any working idea ?

    try it code *#402# OK--adjust display intensity/contrast
    whether varies contrast? You try rewrite good eprom?
    if not- may be it is hardware problem

    hi,

    I succeeded ...

    I tried *#402# + Call button
    I have adjusted contrast (up-down and Call button)
    but after power-down and power-up again ... contrast is still low ..

    what I did ...

    I opened the phone
    took out small backup battery ...
    measured it's voltage ... it was ~2V
    I attached it to ext. power supply +5V stabilized
    and after 30 sec. detached it
    I put it back to phone ... and VOILA ...
    contrast is ok.

    so ... that was the problem.

    yeah
    i succedeed

    as I wrote

    phone didnt have enough voltage in backup battery
    to save contrast settings

    so i charged it a little and it worked.

    Pls can somebody help...I have version 178...when I put in code it says invalid entry...how else can I set contrast on this mobile...
