how to flash/unlock a V170? - GSM-Forum

Hello, I have Smart Clip and UFS with Motorola Acer program, but V170 seems not to be supported.

I need to unlock and possibly flash a V170.

I have several cables, for Smart-Clip, UFS and Uni USB Box (or could make one, being only 3 wires, really).

I do not have any flash files, though.

I tried to unlock with Smart Clip and I get the green light, but phone would not accept any SIMs other than the original, therefore it is still locked.

Any hints?

I have downloaded V171 flasher, do you think I can flash V170 phone with V171 firmware?

V170: 850/1900 network
V171: 900/1800
You can try to flash but at your own risk

I have flashed v170 with v171 firmware but the display now is distorted. Half of the graphics is going to the right while its other half is going to the different direction in a slant position. I tried to return to original status but still the same even flash with tracfone and cingular firmware. Any help please...
