Problem With Changing Media File For U880
 

Hey all

when i try and change the media file for u880 from Italy to australia and save it, it doesnt showup when i try browsing it in the flashing program.

instead of IT i put DU

but it still doesnt show up

please reply with a solution asap

hi pls i need the italian media file.i went to use the uk 4 the italian and it is saying unavaliable media file.pls can u heip me wit the italian media file.

Check in hex programmer as to where it is being saved as it doesnt go in same directory as youve read it from. Usually its in a temp folder somewhere unless you set the hex profram otherwise.;)

hmm i dont get it,

when i change the name of the file, and try to browse it, it also says "Select MEDIA binary file"

why are you trying to change name of file? You only need to change one number in file then save it:confused:

after changing the file save it with different name and also save with .bin extension too.

You should vith hex editor edit media file and find tis string:
63 6f 75 6e 74 72 79 20 63 6f 64 65

flash my phone U880 will restart

i cant connect with computer to flash again what i can do ??

unplug USB cable and plug it again!:D

pls since u cant help me on how to use the hexeditor can any body post the italian media file.

i need the italian file pls can u help me with the italian:confused:

In the instructions it says to change the name of the Italian file (IT) to whatever, in my case Australia (DU).
But whenever i change the last bit from IT to DU and even put in .bin at the end and save it, when i try browsing it from the flashing program it says Please select a MEDIA BINARY file....

And i have also noticed dat at the end of the media file it says IT1, ive tried making it to DU4 but it still ends in the same result :( :(
