Un-Branding AT&T LG Neon GT365 - GSM-Forum

I have the AT&T LG Neon GT365 and a USB data cable

I'm looking for ways to un-brand it, customize the menus, remove the default Shop Ringtones, Shop Tones, ect... and other stuff.

Can somebody point me in the right direction? What software will do this? Where do I download it? What about the Windows driver? Where do I download the un-branded file to put on my phone?

I had a Motorola v400 a few years ago that I hacked up... I flexed it to a v600, un-branded it, and customized everything! So, I'm pretty familiar with it... I just cant find any information on how to do this with my LG Neon GT365 phone!

Hi

welcome to Gsm-hosting

your experience is pretty good in de-branding of [Motorola] mobile phones.

But LG is different story. you can not de-brand this phone by only USB Cable.

Only some of Professional LG Flasher box can do this. so dont experiment with LG phones. otherwise you will got a expensive brick

Google for KS360 fimrware and flasher. You can find also in this forum. Upgrade with KS360 firmware. It will be debranded but model will become KS360. No problem both functionality are same. U can do it with USB cable.

How many GT365 you de-branded i dont know.

but its not so easy as u said.

I've researched flashing my GT365 to KS360 firmware, but I dont think its worth it! I will lose 850mhz which I really need where I live! I've also read you lose some features like no more .wma player, some camera features like light balance and digital zoom, no voice recorder, no yahoo or aol instant messenger, and a few other features.

Even if I didnt lose the features... I cant lose the 850mhz range!

I was hoping there was an easy way to un-brand my gt365 and customize it without sacrificing important features!

Thanks guys! I just flashed from gt365 to ks360 and its unbranded now and works good!
