What information do you need from me to get the radio unlock code? I am changing the battery today and need to be prepared?

I've heard the code may be in with the spare tire or in the glove compartment on the left side....any truth to that?

Spiderman, excuse my ignorance since I am new :) What is "read dump".....is it the VIN or some other number that I have to provide?
