blaupunkt 300 in 7-SAFE mode
 

Hi guys,
im a newbie to this so hope I can get some help.
I just bought an 98 opel astra 1.4 but the radio doesnt work.
Its a blaupunkt 300. It always had SAFE on the display but today I turned it on while holding the AS button and 7-safe mode came on. Whats the difference and how do I fix it.
I took the radio out and found a number - 1704. Is this the code?
S/N is GM1300V4071148.
I also need to know what buttons I press to enter the code. On my radio it has 2 arrow buttons but also buttons from 1-6.

All suggestions appriciated

Had the same problem
switch on while holding doen AS button
leave radio on for a couple of hours or longer if required until it has a number and digits
7 _ _ _ _
enter code and press and hold AS button
radio will come live again:)

button 1 on radio for 1st number of code, button 2,3,4 for 2nd, 3rd, 4th number of code. press buttons till correct number is found

Hi guys, I finnaly got the 7_ _ _ _ on my radio display. I entered the code 1704 and pressed AS. Then 6_ _ _ _ displayed. Why is this? Is it because of a wrong code? Here are details again

yes, that code is wrong. I not have calculator for this radio, you must open and read eeprom from mcu, mean Motorola hc05 is in this radio.
Is this radio "CAR300"?

Cheers IfraGsm, that got the radio working. No more talking to the gifrlfriend on our drives....yipee!.
By the way, I have a cassette adapter to use with my mp3 player. It works ok in my g/f's car but not in mine. I tried another normal tape and it plays ok. Any idea why the cassette adapter wont work?

hi, I just have bought AUDI concert radio (blaupunkt) it is from audi A3 and it displays "SAFE" maby you can tell me what code should I enter to get it working again?
