Thanks for looking at this for me, unfortunately the code 5*** didn't work. Are there any other codes that might work or methods of obtaining them?

I've looked at some lists with pre codes online, but the lists I've seen all have a letter and three numbers eg k1***, k2*** but they never have zero as the first digit eg K0**. Is this something odd about my serial number, or have all the lists I've seen been copied and pasted from an incomplete source?

The Pre-Code is a letter followed by 3 numbers, you have provided this already.
Is it possible you have written the wrong numbers down?
It is possible that the code may have been changed, if so then post dump
