Member: 12578 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 60 | Does it matter if it was published or stolen?? Nokia unlocking has died many months ago, and it was just a matter of time before this came out for FREE.....But maybe you can get some money back by selling this to people if you are really desperate for money?? |

Member: 31454 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Hi guys.. First of all thanks for the free software ..Just a lil prob..when using it, the code I got was not quite correct. Actually I got the code from my provider and I tried calculating with the software. Both the codes had difference of 1 digit. In one of the postings, it said 2 digit but in my case it was 5th digit. Now thats something strange..How do we figure out which digit is wrong? may be somekind of reverse engineeing on .exe might help. or if any one else has some idea..that would be great. Hope to hear from some expert soon . -RP PS: btw mine is 3650 on T-mobile USA |

Member: 12356 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 7 | Actually the program works 100% - Tested! Here are some information regarding my own personal findings on the software. Usage: dct4nck locktype imei provider [boxserial] Where: locktype is the UEM/Type 2 or 5 putting any other number or character will default to type 2 imei we all know what it is (*#06#) will give phone's real IMEI provider the network provider your phone is locked to boxserial i've been playing with it and found out that it's default is 32820 which code are generated for the DCT4CALCULATOR but i found out that changing it also changes the calculated code. hence 32820 -> DCT4Calculator code 32819 -> GRIFFIN Calculated code for V2 Dongles (also new type 5 and new 3510i/3530) 33820 -> DCT4Calculator code 33819 -> GRIFFIN Calculated code Here's an example on how to generate a DCT4CALCULATOR calculated code C:\dct4nck 2 123456789012345 51505 #pw+933352656175450+1# To generate a GRIFFIN calculated code, simply add 32819 as the "boxserial" C:\dct4nck 2 123456789012345 51505 32819 #pw+933462656175450+1# the boxserial can be adjusted by the following: default value = 32820 sample imei: 987654321012345 by increasing the a digit in the boxserial value, we decrease a calculated digit value by 1 affecting only the first 5 digits of the imei, if we decrease a digit in the boxserial value by 1, we increase the calculated value by 1, and so on... sample: C:\dct4nck 2 987654321012345 51505 #pw+793130611143533+1# C:\dct4nck 2 987654321012345 51505 32819 #pw+793240611143533+1# C:\dct4nck 2 987654321012345 51505 32829 #pw+793140611143533+1# C:\dct4nck 2 987654321012345 51505 32929 #pw+792140611143533+1# C:\dct4nck 2 987654321012345 51505 33929 #pw+782140611143533+1# C:\dct4nck 2 987654321012345 51505 43929 #pw+682140611143533+1# notice the value adjustment, each digit in the 5 digits boxserial corresponds to the first 5 digit of the imei respectively. Hope this helps. Last edited by Vinny_xel; 07-09-2003 at 22:52. |

Member: 31454 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Thanks Vinny, That was a good help in understanding..but then again I am stuck on the same thing..see now I got the code thru which I unlocked my phone ( given by my service provided) thru the calculator by using box value of 32825. But then again to the basic question: How to come up with a box value used for my phone? Any help on that..I mean is there a particular algo or method used to find it out? Thanks in advance. |

The calculated code and the code given to you by your service provider although slightly different are both correct. @vinney Very interesting findings but I cant quite see where it leads to? regards Dan |

Member: 33646 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Question: I see terms like V1 and V2 and GRIFFIN calculated codes. Can anyone give insight in what cases you need to use which (or doesn't it matter at all? or does it ALWAYS work e.g. to use the V2 code)??? Thanx in advance. Plus does anyone have a list of which types of phones can be unlocked with this (depending ont he answer to the above question: a list of types in combination with which type of code (V1/V2..) to use for that type)? Member: 3430 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 3 | @cynix V1 dongles were superceded by V2 because the codes they calculated would not unlock some 3510i's and some 7650's. So the version 2 dongle was released (for a little extra cost) but when us consumers looked at the difference between V1 and V2 dongles it was clear that the only difference in the codes was the 2nd digit. (reduced by 1). So standard V2 codes will unlock just about any DCT4 nokia (except fido and AT&T 3650's). The griffin variants of these standard V1 and V2 codes although slightly different are no better or worse. So my advice would be to use any V2 codes (either standard or griffin variant). This will unlock your phone fine. Remember one phone will accept a wide range of unlock codes (some say 1000's). current DCT4 handsets that the calculator works with: 3300, 3510, 3510i, 3650, 5100, 6100, 6220, 6310, 6310i, 6500, 6510, 6610, 6650, 6800, 7210 ,7250, 7650, 8310, 8910, 8910i (and all US Variants of those listed) All are clased as type 2, except for 7650 and 3650 which is type 5. regards Dan |
