I believe it's your cable having compatibility problems and not the phone or the program. I don't know of any official serial cable that supports 6600 synchronization and back-up. I think you need either Bluetooth or Infra-red. Oxygen Phone Manager Symbian Edition supports 6600, I'm not so sure if it will work with your serial cable.

Checked the link. It's supposed to work with OPM as claimed. But it seems you cable does not work. Better ask for support from your manufacturer.

When using bluetooth with OPM, uncheck the Bluetooth serial port that mRouter uses. mRouter cannot work simultaneously with OPM.

Just asking. Have you installed the OPM Agent SIS file in your 6600?

Just asking to be sure So we know what else we can suggest. No offense. I'm out of suggestions actually that's why I asked that. With your setup, it should actually work OK. I'm using Windows XP, and I don't seem to have any trouble. I'm using BT and the latest available OPM II Symbian. Works great!
