Tomtom 6 - For Mobile... The easy way :)
 

Now then, This is hopefully going to be an easier way to get it on your Phone.... As it took me over a week. Most is copyied but i have added a few simple tip... so this is the All in 1 guide... :) enjoy

1. Extract the folowing file to your Memory Card... (But take it out of the TomTom folder, So you paste the 8 Folders (i.e System, Tomtom, Voices etc) Will be on the First page you look at when you open your Memory card. http://rapidshare.de/files/33790302/...s60v3.rar.html

2. Run your phone go to where ever your phone would have put it, On my N80 i have to go into "My Own" on my Old nokia it is on the First screen. You should Then see a "Application installing", And If not just try and run the program.

3. This is where most people go wrong, Ok Put the Map Files on Your front screen of your memory card along with the other files.

4. Now Go onto Your TomTom it will ask to activate 1, go to Changed map and click on the Guam map.. But hopefully it will do that for you on its own. Now then when it asks you to activate the map sya you want to do it manually.

You will recieve a ID number ... Mine was ADAN DJEG or something.

5. Download the Map Activation Keygen (if you downt already have it):

and extract the files to e.g C:\Keygen

6. Go into the Guam folder and Make sure that all files NOT hidden, and you will see a file that is called Guam.Mid

Copy this to The Keygen folder you just creasted.

7. Click start -> Run -> Type cmd -> OK

6. CD C:\TTNKeygen

8. TT6.exe Guam.mid

9. It will now ask you for your ID: which is what we found on Tomtom i.e ADAN DGJED

10. Type that It and you will recieve the code... Type that code into your phone when manually Activating the Guam map... It will then Say "Activated".

Then Change maps... And Wolah! you have TomTom

N80 map problems
 

I have downloaded maps and saved them on my memory card (root) but my Tom Tom software is not finding it.
You mention installing the map, (point 3) - i have downloaded a Guam one and its DAT files and saved them on the memory disk. Do i need to do anything else with it?

Can you tell me what software you are using = *#0000# mine is V3.0617.0.6 i think i might need V4? is yours V4?

For the N80 you need the firmware 4.0623 to run it correctly (*#0000# to know the version) : you can upgrade version 3.xxx to 4.xxx buy flashing the phone,
For the N72 it must be with new firmware (symbian 9.13 3rd not symbian 2nd 2.28)
If you want to know the version of the soft press *#0000# on your phone

Does not work with 3250 and N91 !!!
Does not work with old symbian phones like 6630/6680/N70/N90


Nokia Allows Smartphone Owners to Update Firmware

A small number of Nokia customers no longer need to make the trip down to the service center to have the firmware on their smartphones updated. That's because the Finnish phone maker recently launched a UK “Phone Software Update” site.

This is important news because Nokia has traditionally been reluctant to allow end users to update the firmware on their phones themselves, due to the supposed complicated nature of the procedure. The new service greatly simplifies the operation.

To update a smartphone’s ROM select the model name from a menu, whereupon you'll see if you can update its firmware either directly over-the-air or through a USB cable connection to a PC.

Why Wont Any1 Help Me V350 Gb Map

I have a N73 with firmware: V 2.0628.0.0.1 - 10-07-2006
Trying to install TT6, I am unable to DL from the rapidshare link: hxxp://rapidshare.de/files/33651432/TomTom_S60_3rd.rar.html due to some stupid message saying session invalid I am having issues!
I have tried another version (hxxp://www.megaupload.com/?d=VOLJS3G3) and followed the instructions in TT6 posts but when trying to install I get the message:unable to install. I have read some where that the program should self install when re-inserting the SD card into the phone, but this doesnt happen for and have to go to app manager to install
Are there any links for the same software on Megaupload??? i.e. TomTom_S60_3rd.

Or am i doing something wrong?

I have transfered all the items from the folder & GB+ map to my SD card and re-inserted into my phone when i try to install via application manager it states unable to install.....any ideas what i'm doing wrong

Is there any way to use tomtom 6 maps on tomtom 5 application ? I have 6630 and no possibility to install tomtom 6 that`s why I ask :)
