GX10-GX10i-GX20:

only COM cable or USB to COM converter cable.is the same for data/unlock/flash.

GX15-GX17-GX25:

only USB cable,not COM.for data and unlock use sipmle original USB cable.
FOR FLASH YOU NEED NEC 3G CABLE OR USB CABLE WITH CHARGING FUNCTION(see pic1).
caution:usually you can't use flash cable for unlock.

GX30-GX30i-TM100:

you can use USB and COM cable for data BUT ONLY COM CABLE WITH EXTERNAL POWER FOR FLASH AND UNLOCK(see pic2).

3G SEMC PHONES (802-902 etc) :

you can use USB and COM cable for data BUT ONLY COM CABLE OR USB TO COM CONVERTER CABLE FOR FLASH AND UNLOCK.(see the pic3 for VIDEO CONNECTOR pinouts).the most famoys in this case is the 4 in 1 CRUISER cable.
YOU CAN USE ALSO GX30 CABLE(connected to the charging connector ofcourse) but in this case speed will be too slow(115200).Also SPST work's better with that cable.

since now every new thread or post(except this thread) about sharp cable will be deleted without any warning.

Drivers for flashing gx15 are included in the gx15 upgrading tool:
http://sharp.hacked.in/gx15/the%20gx...0installer.zip

You must install this software, and when is istalled connect your phone WITHOUT battery to your usb cable (with charging funcion) and then windows will auto install drivers from the folder of gx15 upgrading tool.

Once drivers are installed open the program and flash the phone

If I don't have a Nec 3g cable and I want to make a USB cable with charging function (for gx25), do I wire up the cable as in pic 1? Where do I add the + and - for external power source? Finally, what is the ideal voltage for external power?

For anyone else looking at this thread wire up the cable as in the picture above this post. It works fine, tried and tested successfully by me. I was a bit confused about all this charging function cable and external power crap. The cable takes its power from your usb port (5v), no other power is needed.
