The explanation above works 100%!! Put vodafone card or motorola test card and navigate trhougth the manu to enter NCK twice, and all will be OK. thanks.

1- turn on your phone with accepted sim
2- tape *01763*6371#,
3- go to"PARAMETER" than "verrou MEP "
4- after "Enter code" (secu code = 0000 or 9999)
5- enter the unlock code

I recently bought a Sharp 770 from Spain, locked by Vodafone.
I want to use the phone with a non-Spanish Vodafone card.

I am a bit confused by the posts: do I have to / can I ask a "code" from Vodafone Spain if I use the phone abroad? Why should the just give that to me? Do I have to pay for that? How?
How do I manage it, shall I contact Vodafone Spain main info mail address?

I go to Spain in a month so if that's the deal I can visit a Vodafone shop there... just clarify please.

2-Type *01763*6371#
3-fone will Reset and back to main Screen
4-Press MENU button
5-go to Setting
6-go to Security
7-select MEP lock
8-Enter your Handset Code (0000) or (9999)
9-go to Network and press Select
10-for Deactivate and Press Select
11-Enter NUC code and Press OK
12-Done
